2018 registered another sensational catch at the box office in its third weekend, collecting Rs. 10.75 crore in Kerala. The fall from the second weekend was less than 30 percent while it was 17 percent higher than the first weekend. The total box office collection in the state crossed Rs. 65 crores. With another Rs. 9 crores from Rest of India, the nationwide total is Rs. 74 crores approx. The overseas numbers are yet to come in but the film is estimated to be close to $8 million, taking the worldwide gross to Rs. has come close to 140 crores, surpassing Pulimurugan to become the highest-grossing Mollywood film of all time.
The film still chases the crown in the home state of Kerala, where it is now the fourth highest grosser of all time, surpassing Lucifer (Rs 63.50 crore) yesterday. It is now behind Pulimurugan (Rs 78.50 crore), Baahubali 2 (Rs 73 crore) and KGF Chapter 2 (Rs 68 crore). The film will cross KGF 2 tomorrow while Baahubali 2 may drop at the end of third week or fourth Friday at the latest. Pulimurugan is on top in ETA’s fourth weekend. Now it needs to be seen how far it can set a new record with Rs. 100 crore cannot be ruled out at the moment.
