Lydia surprised to know about her boyfriend Scott Their romance comes to an end over their Spanish/English language barrier. In this exclusive preview of the May 29 episode of TLC 90 Day Fiancé: Love in HeavenA Dominican beauty and her American boyfriend find themselves caught in a miscommunication mess during a dinner date, leaving Scott so “frustrated” that he asks a TLC translator for help with his Spanish.
“So I’m disappointed at this point,” Scott says in a confessional statement. “I ended up using the translator app. I needed someone, a physical person, to step in. Then, at the restaurant, Scott asks Lydia and a translator to go over to the side, where the translator explains to Lydia is how Scott is upset that the pair can’t have a “real conversation”.
“I feel like when I was talking to you in Florida, maybe things were easier because we’re having short conversations and then when we’re spending a lot of time together, we’re having long conversations,” Scott tell through. translator. “And like it’s all with a translator (app) and it’s not working. I’m getting frustrated with the whole process.
In a confessional statement, Lydia responds to Scott’s translated outburst. “When we talked – he was speaking in English and I in Spanish – he told me he didn’t care about that part. Now he tells me he can’t take it anymore, but I think there’s a lot in Scott.” Have less patience.”
At the restaurant, Lydia elaborates more on how she feels, telling the translator, “His attitude is very quick. He is not giving time, I don’t think language is the problem. Now he has a problem. OK, there’s a problem. Ouch.
By the end of the clip, it looks like Scott may be ready to end things with Lydia. “I think the language barrier is a big problem, I’m trying to be realistic,” he tells the translator. “But here’s the thing: I really care for her and I feel really terrible. And I feel like I’m out here and I’ve put in a lot of time getting to know her and she’s a beautiful person.” And I feel bad, but I just don’t feel the chemistry.
