The 56-year-old Utah mother, who is carrying her son’s baby, says that while the pregnancy carries potential health risks, there was a lot of love and peace throughout the process.
Nancy Hauck and her sister-in-law, Cambria, joined TMZ Live on Friday to talk about the unique family dynamic as they patiently await the arrival of their new baby girl. Nancy carries her son, Jeffand his wife Cambria’s baby after a life-saving hysterectomy left Cambria unable to sustain a pregnancy.
Nancy tells us that she was the one who volunteered to carry the embryo, and at first she didn’t even think it was medically possible.
Nancy and Cambria said the decision was made after a lot of research and counseling and so far everything is going smoothly… both Nancy and the baby are healthy. Doctors warned the family that at Nancy’s age there was a greater risk of hypertension and gestational diabetes, but the all clear.
One thing both Nancy and Cambria say, there was a lot of peace and love through the whole thing … and they are excited to welcome the baby girl into the world and tell her the unique story of how she came to be.
