Veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi, 60, hit the headlines yesterday after getting married for the second time. The actor tied the knot with fashion entrepreneur Rupali Barua on Thursday in an intimate ceremony at a club in Kolkata. A picture from their wedding was taking the internet by storm yesterday. Ashish was earlier married to Peelu Vidyarthi alias Rajoshi Vidyarthi. Rajoshi has now spoken about his personal life, and how he and Ashish part ways in 2021. Rajoshi was married to Ashish for 23 years and they have a son, Arth Vidyarthi.
Rajoshi Vidyarthi divorces Ashish Vidyarthi
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Rajoshi said that both of them had filed for divorce in October last year and it was completely mutual. “I have spent a long time of my life as the daughter of Shakuntala Baruah and wife of Ashish Vidyarthi. Now the time has come that I want to walk my own path alone. I want my own identity and let it be clear, it was not that he ever crushed my identity. I just realized that he is seeing a different future, I am seeing a different future. She said that she would not have been able to take this decision without Ashish’s support, and he made it easy for both of them. He said that he had heard about ugly fights between lawyers, but nothing like this happened in his case.
Rajoshi addressed the narratives that have surfaced on the internet about him and Ashish. He said, “I am angry with the interpretation people are making about us. This is not right. Ashish never cheated me. Even if people are thinking that he only wanted to do second marriage. This is a completely false story.”
Rajoshi said that they both are different people, and for 2 years they tried to go their separate ways. “In my personal life, I have different needs now. I can no longer fulfill Mrs. Vidyarthi’s goal,” she said. When asked about a second chance at love, Rajoshi said he does not need to get married again. “It’s not what I need. He needs a partner. We can’t hang a man because of his needs. He’s got someone which is a good thing.”
