Aurora Teagarden will live on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, although Candace Cameron Bure has moved on to Great American Family.
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has announced a prequel for its long running show. The Mystery of Aurora Teagarden The movie series is scheduled to be released later this year in The Mystery of Aurora Teagarden: What’s NewSkyler Samuels will play young Aurora, with Evan Roderick playing young Arthur. Evan Roderick will reprise his role as Young Arthur after Peter Benson.
Fans of the original series will be thrilled to see Marilu. Henner reprises her role as Ida Teagarden, Aurora’s mother.

What better way to bring them back to when a young amateur sleuth just came into her life?” Emily Merlin, Development Manager programming, Hallmark Media said in a statement, “The Aurora Tea Garden The franchise is a fan favorite. And we are excited to share this new chapter with the audience.”

This new film takes us back to Aurora’s post-university days. When she finds herself back home in Lawrenceton while Aida struggles to save her newfound real estate business, Aurora earns herself a living working as a teacher’s assistant in crime fiction and Be a waitress in a local restaurant at night. She shares a love of researching true crime with her friend Sally (previously played by Lexa Doig) and police officer Arthur. Aurora Teagarden is based on Charlaine Harris’ book series before this upcoming prequel. Bure starred as the character in 18 films for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries from April 2015 until February 2022.
