You have a rare overnight date early in the season. Have you ever had the feeling that you would end up getting engaged?
Zach Chalcross: Does the bowel feel that fast? I mean, this is the first time we actually spent time together. But as soon as I got out of the door it was quite comfortable. Zach, when did you know you picked Kaity?

I got out of my own head of trying to rationalize and trying to figure this whole thing out. I just let it go and just saw where my heart was And I look into your eyes and i was like “I can’t live without you. It’s you.” I can’t say anything clearly. So I had to keep quiet. I was like, “We’ll get through this,” and then I got down on one knee to the love of my life.
Katie, you know when to say yes.
I don’t know if there’s a certain moment for me, like (there) for Zack, but I’ll say when both of our families get involved. And when I was assured by my mother that he would get along just fine. For my family and them to see, I was like (a) I couldn’t bear the burden anymore and when I met his family Everything fits together well. There are many things that are not aired as well. It was a really special moment for me and I think it accelerated our relationship but yeah.
Kaity, you’re friends with Zach’s runner-up, Gabi and Ariel. How do you balance your friendship and your relationship with Zach? Is there any awkwardness or water under the bridge?
I wouldn’t say there was awkwardness at all. It was not difficult to navigate my friendship with them. We are all still very close. And we constantly elevate and support each other. I talk to them every day. We Facetime all the time. They always make sure I’m fine. And if there’s a part where we’re like, “Oh hey, this is what I meant in this situation,” and honestly, sometimes we don’t even need to do that. because we live in that moment and we know each other We have a trip coming up.
