Barbie trailer: From Barbie getting arrested to Ken dancing; Know everything about the plot here

Warner Bros. has officially unveiled a new trailer for Barbie 2023, offering a glimpse into a colorful new world with an action-packed storyline.

Directed by Greta Gerwig, the Barbie film inspired the Mattel line of dolls, which debuted on the market in 1959. The film starring Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Kane is all set to release in theaters on July 21, 2023. The film’s ensemble cast also includes Simu Liu, Alexandra Shipp, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Hari Nef, Scott Evans, Kate McKinnon, and Issa Rae.

In the new Barbie trailer, all is going well in colorful Barbie land, until Barbie asks her companions if they ever think about endings. Barbie asked her friends, ‘Do you guys ever think about dying?’ Soon, strange things begin to happen to Barbie as she begins to become less and less like Barbie. However, the most alarming of all the strange occurrences was flat feet! Barbie’s heel is flat instead of constantly raised and bent in the air.

So, Robbie’s Barbie seeks the help of Kate McKinnon’s Barbie, who tells her to go to the ‘real world’ and understand ‘the truth about the universe’. Unbeknownst to her, Ken also sits in the back seat of Barbie’s car. The pair begin their soul-searching journey to the real world and are soon arrested by Barbie after punching a boy on the beach who touched her inappropriately.

‘If you love Barbie, this movie is for you. If you hate Barbie, this movie is for you’, reads the video trailer. The new trailer certainly promises comedy and adventure as Barbie ventures out into the real world. The clip also makes use of the classic Barbie Girl song in the final seconds; However, it is not clear whether the song will be used in the film itself or not.
