Baxter Durie has announced his seventh solo album I think I’m better than youwhich will be released June 2nd via Heavenly. He made it with producer Paul White (Danny Brown, Charli XCX) and the album features contributions from Esca and Jay Grayalong with longtime collaborators Madeleine Hart.
The first single from the album is “Aylesbury Boy”, a sweet and melancholic song featuring punchy drums, funky bass and Baxter’s signature mushy vocals in a thick London accent alongside JGrrey and Hart. This is about coming from one place and arriving somewhere that doesn’t fit somewhere. And I think these people are like Studio Ghibli characters. spirit away”
