Rebekah Vardy has been dubbed “brutal” by friends of her agent friend Carolyn Watts.
They accuse Becky of dismissing Caroline’s mental health struggles by talking about herself in the wake of the Vagatha Christie affair.
Furious friends of Rebekah’s agent pal Carolyn Watts accuse Wag of throwing her “under the bus”.
Last night a source claimed that 40-year-old Caroline is “paying the biggest price for Becky’s ruthless, self-centered actions”.
Pulse said the mother of two hasn’t worked for months because of her exposure to Becky’s Vagatha Christie fight with Colleen Rooney.
She revealed that her husband Steve is concerned about her “suicide”.
Friends blamed “single-minded” Becky for not considering Caroline’s mental health while talking about her own struggles on TV.
Caroline – Becky’s agent for seven years – did not provide evidence in the blockbuster High Court trial, when a psychiatrist ruled that she was ineligible to appear.
Becky, 40, gave an exclusive interview to The Sun and spoke on talk TV last week to protest her innocence after losing her defamation claim against Colleen, 36 — a decision that will cost her millions. .
But Caroline’s friends — known as Kaz — said they didn’t even watch Becky’s TV interview.
He is said to have been angry with Becky, who he says is “brutal” and “selfish”.
A source said: “Becky is talking about her mental health while she learns that Caroline is really suffering.
“She has committed suicide in the last few months. She struggles day by day and would give anything to get her life back to normal.
“But, even now that the test has passed, Becky is pulling it off.
“We’re worried about Caroline, she used to be the strongest and most confident of us, but this has completely knocked her down.
“She never wanted this to go to court and somehow Becky’s brutal, self-centered actions are paying the biggest price.
“While Becky is loving the limelight, Caroline is just trying to pull her life back together.
“We all think Becky has been selfish, one-brained and cruel in the way she’s been the first to go into it and handle things.
“But even though she keeps throwing Kaz under the bus, Caroline sticks up for Becky and keeps making excuses for her. She’s so loyal to him.
“People have suggested that Becky took care of her financially to keep quiet. This is absolutely bullshit.
“Caroline doesn’t have the cushion of being a millionaire – she’s not rich.
“She hasn’t worked for months because of the court case—which she never wanted Becky to pursue. She knew it would go away if Becky dropped it.”
“The whole thing has been a massive strain for Caz for almost three years now.”
In his closing argument at the seven-day trial in May, Becky’s attorney, Hugh Tomlinson QC, said she “made mistakes”.
He continued: “The most serious thing was to trust someone he shouldn’t have” – a reference to Caroline.
Then, two months after the verdict – Becky revealed how she was targeted by trolls, threatened with death to her family, and contemplated suicide.
The trial also heard that Caroline had lost a mobile phone, which contained messages to Becky, in the North Sea.
Colleen’s attorney, David Sherborne, memorably described the ocean floor in court as a “Davy Jones locker”—a reference that stunned Becky and caused laughter in the courtroom.
Our source continued: “Now Becky is doing everything she can to save her skin, while blaming everyone else – Colleen, her lawyer for not knowing the case to tell her that she will win. Judge and Caroline.
Kaz was too ill to go to court and so she became the scapegoat.
“Kaz’s husband has also gone through this. He had to stop working several times to take care of her because she was very, very little.
“The reference about the Davy Jones phone is a big joke to many, but not to him or those who love him.
“She actually dropped it in the ocean. Why would she lie about it? It didn’t gain her anything. The court had all the messages between her and Becky.
“So losing it on purpose would have been completely pointless.”
The night Becky – wife of Leicester City star Jamie, 35 – appeared on TalkTV, Caz was seen with her family in the garden of the pub.
She told friends that she didn’t want to see the interview.
Our source added: “She’s just surrounding herself with people she can really trust now, she suffers from paranoia and leads a very low-key life.
The fight between the two wags has been raging since October 2019, when Colleen posted a scathing allegation that stories had leaked from her personal Instagram and pointed the finger at mum-of-five Becky.
Becky – who is now considering a TV offer – has insisted she did not leak the material and that Colleen, the wife of former England ace Wayne, 36, had jumped to the conclusion.
She said: “I wanted to clear my name, because I was accused of doing something I didn’t.”
