Legendary singer-songwriter Bettye LaVette has announced her new album, titled Lavette!and released lead single “Plan B” on Wednesday. The icon also shared dates for their summer tour of the United States. Starting in Seattle, Washington on June 20.

Produced by Steve Jordan for his label with Meegan Voss, Jay-Vee Records, Jordan also drummed on the album and assembled a slew of musicians for the project, with Pino Palladino on bass, Larry Campbell and Chris Bruce on guitar, and Leon Pendarvis. play keyboard “When I prepared a band for you I’m sure we’ll do it together. when she joins us We can get one take or two. “I have no other plans,” Lavette said at a news conference when discussing her 61-year career, which began in 1960 in Detroit. and was revived again in the mid-2000s too. I have my own hell to raise.. Lavette! It’s scheduled to premiere on June 16, just four days before her summer tour begins.
