Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s New Orleans mansion has been pulled from the market a year after it was listed for $4.45 million as it is pictured surrounded by a chain-link fence following a 2021 fire.

A New Orleans home believed to be owned by Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z has been pulled from the market nearly a year after it was listed for $4.45 million.

Zillow points out that the home, which was allegedly purchased by the power couple in 2015, is now off the market.

New pictures of the property show the mansion after it caught fire last year in a fire classed as arson.

In the new images, the palatial residence appears empty as it is surrounded by a chain-link fence with a few garbage bags sitting on the curb.

In a true sign of how untouched the home was, one of the windows appears to be broken.

The home sparked an arson investigation last year after it caught fire in July 2021.

At the time, a spokesman for the New Orleans Police Department said they received a report of a suspicious person near the mansion at the time of the fire around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday night. NOLA.com reported.

A source said NOLA.com that the fire appeared to have started in the kitchen, where firefighters found books in an oven, and a can of gasoline was also seen in the house.

According to the city fire department, the historic building has been vacant for some time, although it has working facilities.

Firefighters were alerted to the incident when a smoke alarm went off in the three-storey Spanish Baroque property and 22 officers responded. The fire was completely extinguished two hours later.

A spokesman for the fire department said New York Post: “If they didn’t get there when they did, it could have been a lot worse. This is a historic home.

According to TMZthe fire is classified as simple arson.

The high-profile couple are said to have bought the home in 2015 after it was acquired by Sugarcane Park LLC, which is run by the singer’s mother Tina Knowles.

Built in 1927 as Westminster Presbyterian Church, the spacious property has six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms covering 15,200 square feet.

According to Realtor.combefore being converted into a home in 2000, it was used by a ballet company of eight dancers.

The property also features gorgeous hardwood floors from top to bottom, rich red detailing, intricate chandeliers, and an alluring antique clawfoot tub.

Another enticing feature is the rooftop garden – said to be the largest in all of New Orleans – which helps keep the rooms below cooler in the summer while providing excellent views of the city.

The mansion also boasts 24-foot ceilings, and an open-concept staircase leads to the upper floors.

The master suite looks fit for a queen with a romantic chandelier, deep red walls and tall windows.
