Beyoncé is paying tribute to Tina Turner paving the way – a day after fans “mocked” the “Drunk in Love” singer over the late songstress’ history of domestic abuse.
In Paris for her “Renaissance” tour on Friday, Beyoncé told a sold-out crowd to “shout out so (Turner) can feel your love.”
“If you’re a fan of mine, you’re a fan of Tina Turner,” the 41-year-old continued. “‘Cause I wouldn’t be on this stage without Tina Turner.”
“I feel so blessed that I was alive to see his brilliance. I feel so blessed to be here performing once again.
The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll died on Wednesday after a long battle with an undisclosed illness. She was 83 years old.
Despite Bey’s sweet tribute to the late singer, she’s currently in hot water with several Turner fans after a song post mocking her abusive history with ex-husband Ike Turner on Twitter.
During husband Jay-Z’s verse on her hit song “Drunk in Love,” she raps, “Beat the box up, like in Mike ’97, I bite / I’m Ike Turner, turn up baby, no, I don’t.” Play / Baby, no, I don’t play, now eat cake, Anna Mae / Said eat cake, Anna Mae!
The line reportedly referenced an altercation Ike had with the Grammy winner, whose real name is Anna Mae Bullock, over a piece of cake.

Despite being disgruntled, Beyoncé had nothing but praise for Turner following his death.
“I love you so much. I am so grateful for your inspiration, and the path you have paved. You are strength and resilience,” Beyoncé wrote in a statement posted on her website.
“You are the epitome of strength and passion. We are all so lucky to have seen your kindness and beautiful soul that will live on forever. Thank you for all that you have done.”
