While not an official music release, ‘Ready for Love’ will mark the K-pop group’s first musical together since their last full-length effort ‘The Album’ dropped in October 2020, with the lead single ‘How You Like It’. That was.
However, the news of the release of the special track comes soon after YG Entertainment announced plans for BLACKPINK to release new music in August. A massive global tour, dubbed by YG as “the biggest world tour in K-pop girl group history”, is also on the cards later in 2022.
At the time of the announcement, the K-pop quartet was “in the final stages of recording a new album”, which would kickstart “an ongoing large-scale project that will extend through the second half of the year”.
