BTS’ RM recently shared a much-anticipated update on their next solo material in a livestream.
K-Pop Idol held a livestream on the fan community platform Weavers on July 21, where they shared several updates on the progress of their solo record. “I’m turning on live just to say… look out for my album, stay tuned,” he said in a mix of English and Korean, as translated. koreabu,
RM also shared that most of the work for his yet untitled project has already been completed. “I’m nearing the end of my work on the album. I don’t know how things will be from now on [on]But I will probably be the next member after J-Hope to release his solo album, ”he told the audience.
“So, um, for my album, the studio work is 90 percent complete.” According to RM, what remains to be completed includes filming for the music video and production of other “material” to be released with the music.
The rapper also hinted that he would touch on the subject matter through his next solo effort. “I enjoyed working on the music, I think it will be totally different from ‘Mono’,” RM revealed in reference to his 2018 single mixtape. “If ‘Mono’ is my 2016 record in ’18, I think this new album serves as my diary and archive from 2019 to ’22.”
RM ended his stay by providing a brief update on current progress with his solo material from his BTS bandmate Jimin. “Jimin’s Working Hard” [on his own solo music] also please show [us] Lots of support,” he told fans.
RM’s livestream comes days after it was announced that the seven-member K-pop group had teamed up with Benny Blanco and Snoop Dogg to create a new single titled “Bad Decision”, which was set to be released next month.
“I’m still pinching myself,” Blanco said of the upcoming collaboration. “I can’t believe I have a song coming out with BTS and Snoop Dogg’s Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook. It doesn’t even sound real!”
