Carly Rae Jepsen explores the world of dating apps in new single ‘Beach House’

It’s a big week for Carly Rae Jepsen. Just days after announcing the name of their fifth studio album, lonely timeThe singer has released a new single from her upcoming LP titled “Beach House”.

The catchy track explores dating in the modern world – specifically the ups and downs of trying to find love on dating apps.

“Boy number one made a picnic for two / Looked he was nervous, I thought it was cute / Until I found out his mom made the food / Although it was good,” he chuckles, catchy pop song quips at the opening verse of. “Boy number two had a pretty face / I was very much adamant about going back to his place / His wife had some really impeccable taste / She was lovely though.”

“Beach House” follows the pop singer’s comeback single “Western Wind”, a stripped-down memory of falling in love that swaps Jepsen’s trademark dance-pop spectacle for a thumping, more atmospheric sound.
