Nia Long says she’ll need all the support she can get after being blindsided by her Celtics coach fiance Name Udoka … who we learned kept her in the dark about his affair even though the team arrested him months ago.
Sources connected to the team and the couple tell TMZ … Nia has moved to Boston with Kezher 10-year-old son, Named, just 2 weeks ago and the couple was looking for a house.
The sad twist for Nia is that when she moved in, Ime was already fully aware that his relationship with a married front office worker was about to blow up. We’re told Ime knew back in July that the team was aware of the affair and would take action.
Meanwhile, we’re told Nia only found out about it in the past few days … and only because Ime knew it was going public.
Nia tells TMZ… “The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and community at this difficult time means so much to me. Please respect my privacy as I process recent events. First and foremost, I am a mother and I will continue to focus on my children.”
Social media backlash against Ime and support for Nia was swift as soon as the Celtics announced Wednesday they would punish him.
On Thursday night, the Celtics officially suspended him for the entirety of the upcoming 2022-23 season.
