In the words of Tim Gunn, Christian Siriano has to get it done!
On Monday, the “Project Runway” alum revealed that his workspace was flooded just days before Sunday’s Oscars. Which is detrimental to the outfits he designed for celebrities to wear on the red carpet.
“6 more days before the Oscars (sic) and the pipes explode in our studio, yay happy Monday guys!” Siriano captioned the messy clip on Instagram.
“Ughghghg 😩😫🥺😫 The worst!”
In the clip, water can be seen dripping from the ceiling. Soak cloth boxes and other items.
While “only a handful of clothes” are “broken,” Siriano adds. His team quickly set up. “Temporary studios” to try and recreate lost looks
The fashion designer shared a clip of his new studio on his Instagram Story on Tuesday, writing, “This is our studio this week, I guess.”
In the video, his employees can be seen working hard. Measure and sew quickly to meet the March 12th deadline.
Although it’s unclear which star Siriano will be dressed at this year’s Oscars, But he dressed Quinta Brunson, Billy Porter and Nicole Byer at the Golden Globes in January.
He also wore a Rosie costume. Perez wore a stunning red gown at the 2022 Oscars and created an eye-catching cutout for Janelle Moné at last year’s Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
Although now working with almost all of his “dream people”. But Siriano previously told Page Six Style that there was still one main name on his wish list.
For your favorite Page Six Style…
“I will tell you that. There’s one actress I haven’t dressed up yet, and that’s Cate Blanchett,” he told us last year. “So I need to get it. But I never tried (forcing) I just let it happen. You hand in the dress and hope it turns out well!”
So if Siriano finally gets a chance to dress up for Blanchett. Which was nominated for the Best Actress award this year. Hopefully her dress won’t be ruined by the “rain”.
