Danny confidently replied, “I was about 14.” Leaving Keith in shock, he continued: “Yeah, I’ve been with her since I was 13. 30 odd years of fucking pain. Just kidding. Of course I love her with all my heart.

“With the same lady I’m with now.” We got together very young, that’s why we had a child so young.

“We were early so we had a kid when we were 18,” he explained.

Danny’s appearance comes after he discussed the shocking moment he told EastEnders bosses he “had to quit or die” during his previous drug battle.

The presenter, who recently announced his departure as Mick Carter on the BBC series after nine years, has revealed the shocking reason he temporarily left the show in 2017.

Speaking on Jaime Winstone’s new podcast, Greatest Night Ever, Danny recalled the moment he went “hell*** crazy” during his time on the soap, putting his marriage to wife Jo in jeopardy.

In quotes derived from The sunhe said: “I turned to EastEnders bosses and said: ‘Listen, I’ve got to go somewhere. I will die.”

Danny explained that he made the confession to show bosses amid his wife’s “loads of drug use” and “all the time”.

“Fame has never suited me. I was always going to go the wrong way. So I lost the plot for many years and I was crazy,” he revealed.

The actor added: “I was doing a lot of fucking drugs. I was looking for something. There was a hole in me and I couldn’t figure out what the hell it was.

He admitted he realized he would “screw up his relationship” and become a “shadow” of himself if she continued.

“I knew I had to f————- up because up until that point I was a *** in the sense of what I was doing, what I was doing away from her [Jo]some of the situations I would be in,” he continued.

Earlier this year, Danny admitted he wanted to leave EastEnders “for a while” as he spoke for the first time since announcing his departure from the soap.
