David Spade thinks Kate Middleton should have “slapped” Prince Louis at the Platinum Jubilee to distract the public from Chris Rock’s slap at the Oscars.
Speaking about the incident, Spade joked with Mike Tyson during a recent episode of “Hotboxin'” That it was someone else who deserved a slap: 4-year-old Prince.
The comedian told Mike Tyson, “Her kid, who’s 3, is kind of ad-k, you know, making faces and keeping him quiet and all.”
“I thought, it would help a lot if Chris slapped the kid,” he said.
The “Tommy Boy” actor noted that Middleton, 40, had done so, with The Rock coming in second place, a “slap heard around the world”.
He added the ‘Grown Ups’ co-star, “He’d love to get out of the books. Just to go Kate *does slapstick* … Even the backhand would be fine with me.” “
The 57-year-old Rock and 58-year-old Spade have remained close friends since starring together on “Saturday Night Live” in the 90s.
Soon after Smith slammed The Rock for making a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith at the Academy Awards, Spade came to his rescue on social media.
When he tweeted His shock about the slap on a “GI Jane joke”, a Twitter user asked him, “Why would you call this a ‘GI Jane joke’? instead of a ‘joke about a woman suffering from alopecia’?”
Spade clapped, “Because comedians don’t have a medical chart for everyone in the audience.”
Since the incident, The Rock has made it clear that he is in no hurry to reconcile with Smith, who publicly apologized to him in an emotional video last week.
“I reached out to Chris, and the message that came back is that he isn’t ready to talk, but when he is, he will reach out,” Smith said. “I’ll tell you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.
Although he is unwilling to speak with the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” actor, the stand-up comedian is using the incident as a Material for some of his recent comedy shows,
During a recent show in Atlanta, Rock compared him to Suge Knight, a former Death Row Records executive who is currently imprisoned for hitting and killing a man in 2015.
“Everybody is trying to be a victim,” joked Rock. “If everyone claimed to be the victim, no one would listen to the real victims. Even I was being teased by Suge Smith… I went to work the next day, I had kids.
