More than 100 anti-LGBTQ bills have been filed in nearly half of the nation’s states so far this year. and only in March
It’s been almost a year since Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the “Parental Rights in Education” bill, or more accurately, the “Don’t Say Gay” law, creating a nationwide legal push for “parental rights in education.” Completely annihilating the LGBTQ community of a Republican-led state under copycat laws.
The drive to criminalize and marginalize already vulnerable populations. struck a fever at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) last week.
For many years, CPAC has been an annual must-attend event for many conservative groups. But ever since Donald Trump enters politics Work became a vicious hotbed of mania. collusion and the Trump creed
And then there are the “intellectuals” of the CPAC who mask their hateful ideas with colossal language about “civilization.” Former co-host of Sen. Ted Cruz’s podcast on eliminating ‘transgenders’
“There is no moderation in dealing with transgenderness. It’s all or nothing. If transgenderism is real If a man can really become a woman It’s true for people of all ages.” say. “If it’s false Therefore, for the benefit of society and especially for the benefit of the poor victims of this confusion. Transgenderism must be completely eliminated from public life. which is all ideological nonsense.” (It is important to note that this message received an overwhelming applause.)
for clarity The definition of eradicate is:to eliminate or completely destroy”
After his remarks were cited by various media Knowles insisted that he didn’t mean what he said clearly. He said he didn’t want to eradicate the community of people. but an idea
Now dear reader Ask yourself if you can get rid of a thought. without destroying or eliminating the hidden community? It’s pretty simple, you can’t.
Words like these serve one purpose—to separate people from humanity, why, to normalize cruelty. to make violence—legislative or physical—not just justifiable; but also necessary (when Adolf Hitler and the Nazis referred to Jews as “The mole” that needs to be eradicated from Germany. They were able to convince enough of the population that their neighbors weren’t human.)
All of this is part of a larger reactive drive to split the country in two, as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene declared when she called for a “National Divorce” for a Country Equal rights and legal protection for marginalized communities Another is the mad state of disapproval and hatred.
And while the Republican Party is at war with the transgender community (and the LGBTQ community as a whole), opposition from the White House and Democrats isn’t enough. (polite speaking)
While the President called for these actions when signing the “The Marriage Respect Act” last year. and called the Republicans semi-fascist. Much more needs to be done. at least The Justice Department’s civil rights unit should open an investigation of DeSantis and other governors. Regarding attacks on the LGBTQ community, Biden should issue an executive order to protect LGBTQ youth in schools and adults in the workplace. Democrats should propose a systematic and unified coalition. Pass legislation that codifies civil rights for LGBTQ people, and both the White House and Biden’s party should talk to gay influencers and leaders about the best and most effective ways to combat the GOP’s legal attacks.
For a long time, Democrats didn’t want to meet Republicans on the battlefield of the culture war. And this lack of courage has cost the LGBTQ community their safety and well-being. and possibly even their lives.
According to the Trevor Project, a 2021 study found that 45 percent of LGBTQ teens contemplate suicide, a rate that has been rising steadily for three years in a row. We tell these queer kids after their suicides in the early 2000s, “It’s getting better.” Still, the Democrats, the party that claims to fight for equality and inclusion, things will get better. Only if you choose to fight people who clearly tell you they want you to exterminate, destroy, exterminate and exterminate.
Republicans are not mincing words. So we should accept them.
Pastor Martin Neimöller, a historical figure who changed his anti-Semitic views when he was imprisoned in a concentration camp. wrote the poem “First They Came,” which vividly describes what happens when you don’t mention the group you belong to. not part of when they were attacked
The Republicans are making their plans. First, they come for the transgender community. But since most Americans don’t know transgender people. So they didn’t do anything. Finally they came to you.
It is time for us as Americans to awaken and realize that the enemy to freedom—and to our humanity—is within. and the war has begun
