Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, two of country music’s most iconic personalities. will co-host the 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards. Hosting will be Brooks’ first stint on the show. But he’s in good hands with Parton, who returns for the second year in a row. The ACMs stream live on Prime Video from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on Thursday, May 11 at 8 p.m. EST.
“I’m thrilled to be back hosting this ACM Awards with my friend Garth,” Parton said in a statement. “While I have enjoyed spending time with him over the years, I can’t believe we’ve never had the chance to work together. I am excited to have the opportunity to release the lead single from an upcoming rock album on the show!”
Brooks attended the ACM Awards ahead of the opening of his Las Vegas residence. “Whoever has Dolly Parton is a great couple,” he added.

This year’s ACM Awards ceremony returns to Texas for the first time since 2015. Originally held in Las Vegas, ACM moved to Nashville during the pandemic. The 2023 ACM Awards nominees, performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks. Last year’s show, held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, was hosted by Parton, Gabby Barrett and Jimmie Allen.
