Six song EP produced by Glover
Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino presents masses with RCA Records. Original soundtrack inspired by the series of the same name. The project features music by fictional artist Ni’jah, voiced by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Kirby, and featuring Childish Gambino.
The 6-track EP is available on all streaming platforms. Featuring Glover’s expert production and curated ears. Kirby’s glorious vocals and nimble songwriting combine with the authentic collaboration with Glover to create something very special that resonates throughout the thought-provoking series. Produced by Glover and Michael Uzowuru, and co-produced by Fam Udeorji, the project features works by Teo Halm, Jeff Kleinman, Samuel Ivoko, Vikas and Leken, with Riley Mackin, Christopher Lloyd and Uzowuru lent their pens.
“Kirby has a versatile voice and songwriting talent. She was able to elevate and amplify every moment she was a part of,” recalls Glover. “It was a pleasure working together. To bring this story to life for a reason And I can’t imagine without her taking part.”
“I fell in love with the idea of being the ‘Ni’jah’ character,” adds Kirby. “What would she say in this scene? How will she be? It’s free to write and sing without any rules. There are people who are called ‘geniuses’ and people who truly are. After working with Donald, Michael, Pham and Riley, I truly know the difference.”
