Donald TrumpThe legal headaches of continue to pile up and now he has another one… the special master in his classified documents case just ordered 45 to prove his claim that FBI agents may have planted evidence at Mar-a-Lago.
Court Appointed Special Master Raymond Deary asked DT to put his money where his mouth is. In a statement Thursday, Judge Deary ordered Trump to submit an affidavit stating the “inventory” of materials seized from his Palm Beach, Florida, mansion that were NOT actually found during the FBI search. In other words, Deary is refuting DT’s bluff about the FBI’s alleged fraudulent actions.
You may recall that Trump went ballistic after the feds invaded Mar-a-Lago on Aug. 8 and pulled more than 11,000 sensitive government documents the former president allegedly stole from the White House.
Trump released a message on his social media platform suggesting that FBI agents did something sketchy during the raid at Mar-a-Lago. “Planting information on somebody?” Trump asked. He also continued Sean Hannitythis week and hinted that the feds had released evidence “in those stacks” of classified documents taken from his resort. Even his lawyers got in on the act, suggesting the feds were up to no good that day.
But neither coughed up a single piece of evidence to back up their inflammatory claims.
Speaking of unsubstantiated claims… Trump told Hannity that as president he had the ability to declassify sensitive documents just thinking about it — and that’s just ridiculous.
As you know, Trump is trying to stop the Justice Department’s criminal investigation. He requested an honest and impartial review of classified documents by a special master to determine what federal prosecutors can use in their case. But a federal appeals court ruled in favor of the Justice Department, which can now access the documents and won’t have to wait for the special master to finish his review.
