‘Elvis’ actress Shonka Dukureh found dead in apartment

Actress Shonka Dukureh, who recently garnered attention for her role in the movie “Elvis”, has passed away… TMZ has learned.

Police say Shonka — who plays Big Mama Thornton in the film — was found dead in a bedroom of her Nashville apartment on Thursday. It was one of Shonka’s younger children who found her… the child then ran to alert the neighbor, who called 911 at 9:30 a.m.
