Emily Ratajkowski isn’t one with blurry lines.
The model and actress reportedly split from her husband, Sebastian Bear-McCard, 41, last month and is planning a divorce amid claims that the indie filmmaker had cheated.
And he is apparently in no mood to forgive and forget.
A source close to Ratajkowski told Page Six this week, “Sebastian is begging to give him another chance.” “It’s not going to happen because he did his own digging and discovered even more—t he did behind his back.”
Ratajkowski, 31, sparked breakup rumors when she was seen without her wedding ring — while Bear-McClard was still wearing it.
While she has yet to hire a lawyer, Page Six is told that the “Blurred Lines” video model plans to file for divorce.
And some friends are sad to see it end.
“What they had is really special. All their friends loved seeing them in the newspapers and headlines,” said a New York City Society source. “They were just beautiful, but of course, these were the most beautiful relationships. There are ugly endings. I don’t know what the truth is about Sebastian’s behavior, and I’m not going to defend him, but I know they’re both upset. This is very sad.”
The couple married in an intimate City Hall ceremony in February 2018 after being friends for a while but only dating for two weeks.
They welcomed son Sylvester in March 2021 after announcing in a Vogue video, directed by Lena Dunham, that Ratajkowski was pregnant. She said that they do not want to know the gender of their child as it will be up to the child how to identify it.
“We like to answer that we won’t know gender until our child is 18 and then they’ll tell us,” she wrote in an essay for Fashion Bible.
After his birth, he began to publicly call him his “son”.
Society sources thought Ratajkowski and Bear-McClard were the perfect odd couple.
“They are both apart and they came together and it worked out. Everyone was really excited for them, they got married so early, but they understood,” said the source in the society. People didn’t think Sebastian was good enough for Emily, but she understood.” [him], She’s the ultimate lady, she’s a hunky man and they’re both really smart – Emily is really, really smart. He is more than a model and he is more than a filmmaker.”
Ratajkowski’s best selling book of the essays, “My Body,” was published in October 2021. Baer-McClard co-operates production company Elara Pictures with Josh and Benny Safdie and Oscar Boyson. He was the producer of Safdie’s 2019 hit “Uncut Gems” starring Adam Sandler.
The couple both come from creative families.
His father, Michael McClard, and mother, Liza Baer, are both artists from Downtown New York. Ratajkowski’s father, Michael, is also an artist, while his mother, Kathleen Balgley, is a writer and lecturer. The model was born in London and grew up in San Diego, California.
An insider said, “Sebastian is a quiet man, he is one of the world leaders in the city where creatives can flourish.” “He and Em were a super creative, smart, aloof couple, so that’s why it’s so hard. They were like this power couple from New York. I know they’re both in NY and LA surrounded by loyal, really good special friends Huh. “
But now those friends may have to choose sides.
“Yeah, he cheated,” a source told Page Six last month. “He’s a serial cheater. It’s a total. He’s a dog.”
Ratajkowski appeared to confirm the story by “like” tweets from the time, which discussed not only the split but also her husband’s alleged cheating.
“Can’t believe the little bitch cheated on Imrata,” read a tweet that received support from Ratajkowski.
Now, it seems, she is moving on with her life. On Tuesday, Ratajkowski announced that she has signed up to speak Forbes Power Women Summit Next month in NYC.
