Nicks said she would ignore the issue if she were to tell her story publicly in the future. The reason she said that was that she never allowed her addiction to define her.
“I examined myself at the rehab facility. Nobody did that for me, I did that, and that was my whole life,” she said. “So I would dance over those parts just to educate people.”
In an interview with rolling stoneNicks revealed that a plastic surgeon told her she could die if she continued to use cocaine. A plastic surgeon told her that a coin hole had formed inside her nose from continued use of cocaine.
“We’ve all been addicted to drugs,” Nicks said of her other bandmates, “but there was one point where I had the worst addiction. I’m a girl, I’m fragile, and I drink a lot of Coke.”
In Nicks’ 2015 book “Visions, Dreams & Rumors,” she wrote, “There’s no way to get off a white horse. and I don’t want to.”

“When I wrote I would allow myself to smoke a bit,” she reveals. “It’s the little things I can do. And I’m very careful, you know? And I got results. However, if I think it will lead me back to the worst, I will stop.”
