Former Minneapolis Police Officer Thomas Lane Sentenced to 2.5 Years in Prison for Violating George Floyd’s Civil Rights!

Thomas Lane, one of three former Minneapolis police officers convicted in February of George Floyd’s civil rights violations, was sentenced Thursday to 2.5 years in federal prison. Federal prosecutors convicted Judge Paul A. for his role in Floyd’s fatal restraint on a Minneapolis street in May 2020. Magnussen to sentence Lane to a sentence of between 5.25 years and 6.5 years.
