Di, a former model-turned-indigenous art dealer, had been on the Chanel 10-Foxtel show with her husband, Mick, since its first season in 2015.

She is survived by Mick, their adult children Victoria and Alex, and young grandson Harvey.

Doctors had reportedly discovered a tumor in his throat several months ago and it was found to be inoperable.

Di was known for her stoic sense of humor on Gogglebox, and often came out with a withered put-down when reacting to dating shows.

He famously didn’t think much of fellow couch critic Angie Kent who was embarking on a reality TV career.

The pair’s surprise feud began back in 2020 after Kent and best mate Yvy Jones left Gogglebox Australia to pursue other media opportunities.

Kent later starred in several other reality shows including I’m a Celebrity, The Bachelorette and then Dancing with the Stars.

,[She was on] Gogglebox, then went to the woods, then she became the Bachelorette, and now she’s a dancing star,’ Dee replied sarcastically as she and the other Goggleboxes sat home to watch Kent on DWTS.

‘Leave me… She’s not a dancer, that’s for sure.’

Angie hit back on social media: ‘I have nothing but love and support for my family. So watching it not once but thrice on every adventure I have taken has been quite disappointing.

But there seem to be no hard feelings as Kent recently posted a classy tribute to his outspoken former classmate following his death.

‘Obviously we were part of the Gogglebox family for four years. So we want to send all our love to his family, Mick, his kids, everyone. It’s very sad,’ she said.

‘She was an icon. There isn’t much room for older women on television. And he had such a huge presence. Like he just said what came to his mind and sometimes it was a bit difficult to hear.

‘I mean, I’ve been on the back end of it, but I loved him because he didn’t care. And I love it when women don’t care. And they can say whatever they want. So go queen.’

Mick has already confirmed that he will not be returning to Gogglebox.

Gogglebox’s format centers around families and groups of friends who have been filmed over the past week’s television for their comments and reactions to what they’ve seen in their homes.

The award-winning British reality TV show first launched in the UK in March 2013.

The Australian version debuted in February 2015 and proved to be equally popular here.
