Harry Potter Star Chris Rankin Engaged! Actor asks partner Ness Beecroft during a romantic trip to Florida
Harry Potter actor Chris Rankin has revealed that he is engaged to long-term partner Ness Beecroft after being asked a question during a trip to Florida.
The 38-year-old actor, who plays Percy Weasley in the film franchise, shared his news on Thursday evening via a sweet post to his 55.4K Instagram followers.
Saying that Ness had ‘upgraded to fiancé’, the happy couple posed for a love-filled photo showing off the sparkling ring.

Writing with a picture of himself and his now-fiancé on a balcony, Chris wrote: ‘Good news! I asked @nessabeecroft if she wanted to upgrade to fiancé, and she seemed fine with the idea.’
He then followed up the caption with a red love emoji, which combined the post between the couple’s two accounts.
Followers of the actor – including some of his Harry Potter co-stars – were quick to comment on their message of congratulations to the pair.

Chris and Ness live together in South Wales, and share two dogs named Stanley and Boo.

The pair have been together for six years, with Chris previously married to former Megan Walker.
Although it is unknown how they met, the actor recalled back in 2020: ‘When you’re not looking for something, the one thing you didn’t know you were missing, it turns and Makes everything right.’
Since his stint in the JK Rowling based franchise, Chris now works in television and film production.
He has most recently worked on the production side of the fantasy-adventure program Atlantis, the period drama Downton Abbey and Skies a Discovery of Witches.
