Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde the romance seems to be going from strength to strength despite all the drama surrounding their new movie Don’t worry, honey. On Friday (September 23), the day the infamous film debuted, the loved-up couple were spotted in a small town in upstate New York having a chance date at a Mexican restaurant. In the photos below, provided by TMZHarry wears a navy tracksuit while Olivia keeps it chic and simple in a white T-shirt.
With cast firings, feuds and Spitgate making headlines for the film, it’s no wonder the superstar couple had speculation their own relationship was on the rocks. However, this latest dinner date seems to confirm what a source EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife that Olivia, who directed the film, and Harry, who stars in it, are “stronger than ever” in the face of the storm.
“Despite rumors that there were problems in their relationship, this whole experience has actually made them stronger than ever,” the source said. “They both really wanted to keep their relationship out of the limelight when they were promoting this movie, and they think they’ve done that. The love they share this unbreakable bond, they are both so supportive of each other in their careers and would never do anything to let that get in the way of their relationship.”
The Booksmart The As It Was director and hitmaker met on the set of the psychological thriller in 2020 and have been romantically linked ever since. A second source said Harry understands how important the film is to Olivia’s career and is taking steps to support her on the promotional tour.
“The kind of public control that Harry and Olivia have clashed can really tear a couple apart, but luckily that hasn’t happened,” the insider began. “If anything, it’s made them closer because no one else can understand what they’re going through.”
It’s great to hear some good news surrounding the film as it has recently become a drama even before it debuted at the Venice Film Festival. During the standoff, Olivia claims she fired the shots Shia LaBeouf from the cast, which the actor denied. There were also rumors of tension between Olivia and Florence. To add to the trouble, fans thought they saw Harry spit on his co-star Chris Pine at the Venice Film Festival.
On Wednesday, Olivia appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert where she addressed some of the controversy surrounding her sophomore effort as a director. “He didn’t,” Olivia said about Harry spitting on Chris. “I think it’s a perfect example of people looking for drama wherever they can. Harry didn’t actually spit on Chris.” She also dipped her toe in the Florence rumors. “I have nothing but respect for Florence’s talent,” she added. “I have nothing against her for any reason.”
