How did Aaron Carter die? Autopsy of late singer reveals cause of death

The cause of Aaron Carter’s death is revealed. The singer passed away in November 2022. He was only 34 years old at the time of his death. For the uninitiated, he was found in the bathtub at his home. However, in January, Carter’s ex-fiancée Melanie Martin and her mother, Jane Carter, told TMZ that “water was not found in Aaron’s lungs.” And now the results of the autopsy of the deceased are finally out, revealing the cause of his death. What was the cause of death of Aaron Carter?

On Tuesday, April 18, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner released its findings from Aaron Carter’s autopsy. “On the morning of November 5, 2022, after Mr. Carter was found submerged in a bathtub at his Lancaster residence, his alleged housekeeper called 911 and was instructed to begin CPR. Paramedics were called to the scene and Mr. Carter was pronounced dead at 11:14 a.m.,” said the examiner.

Reports say the late singer, who is the brother of Nick Carter, remains ‘submerged’ in the tub after “inhaling compressed gas and ingesting alprazolam”.

According to Page Six, the official cause of death is drowning. Contributing effects, reportedly, were “difluoroethane, a flammable gas often used as a propellant in compressed air cans, and alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax.”

Aaron Carter’s ex-fiancee Melanie Martin releases statement on his autopsy

Melanie released a statement saying that the autopsy was not a closure for her. “The results of the autopsy are not closed to me. It claims death by drowning, but adds that she was wearing a T-shirt and necklace in the bathtub, which makes no sense, she was in the bathtub. Why would he be wearing clothes?” She further stated that she is still in shock and that she misses Aaron every day. Melanie said that she does not understand the chain of events and this report only prompts her to ask more questions.

In September 2022, Melanie loses custody of her and Aaron’s son. However, he got it back a month after his tragic death.
