Inside the life of Andy Allen, husband of Olympic hero Beth Tweedle

BETH Twedle is a well-known face among gymnastics fans thanks to her incredible career.

But the Olympic hero is also a busy mom, and wife to her devoted husband, Andy Allen.

Who is Andy Allen?

Unlike his famous wife Beth Tweedle, Andy tries to keep himself away from the spotlight.

Not much is known about him except that he works as a financial director.

Beth has previously revealed how she helped him overcome a horrific jury situation on Channel 4’s The Jump in 2016.

talking to Greetings! The magazine added: “He’s waking me up and watching me cry my heart out. My parents and friends are there for me but Andy is the one who watches me at night when I’m really struggling.”

How did he meet Beth Tweedle?

Beth and her husband Andy first met at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where she was working as a reporter.

They tied the knot in 2018 in a glittering ceremony at St. Boniface Church in Bunbury’s home of gymnasts.

They later hosted a grand reception at the nearby Grade I Doorfold Hall.

Describing the day as ‘magical’, Beth told Greetings! The magazine was particularly special at the time of her marriage, as it marked the end of a painful time in her life.

During the same interview, she also said that marriage marked a new, much more positive chapter in her life – which helped her look to the future despite her injuries.

“It’s like we’re opening a new book. We’re excited about the future and there’s so much to look forward to,” she said.

How many children do Andy and Beth have?

The couple has two children together.

They welcomed their daughter Freya in May 2019 and shared the first picture of their first child on Instagram.

Beth wrote at the time: “Exciting news! Andy and I are delighted to welcome and introduce Freya Allen to the world.

“Both born on May 16, she and I are both doing well. What an incredible feeling and we look forward to the wonderful journey ahead.”

The happy family then welcomed another child, a baby boy named Finlay, in April 2022.

What is Beth doing now?

Beth works as a sports pundit for the BBC, and was part of their coverage of the Commonwealth Games in August 2022.

The retired gymnast returned to TV screens on the fifth day of the Games, which are taking place in Birmingham.

Beth’s brilliant pundit garnered a lot of praise from fans of the games.

A BBC viewer tweeted: “Great sports coverage, great punditry from many people, Becky Adlington, Mark Foster but Beth Tweedle is excellent.

“Clear, concise, practical, knowledgeable. Absolutely brilliant.”

Another said: “Beth Tweedle is providing amazing punditry.”

Beth retired from competitive gymnastics in the summer of 2013 after 12 years of competing professionally.
