Can you imagine Adam Sandler as Ross in Friends? Imagine watching every season by replacing David Schwimmer as Adam in the most iconic series – FRIENDS. Has it changed from the beginning? What if he got the role of Ross in Friends and had previously teamed up with Jennifer Aniston?
It turns out that despite recent comments the couple made while promoting their latest film, Murder Mystery 2, that seemed to imply that it was possible. But that separate timeline isn’t in the cards.
The co-stars were interviewed by ET’s Nischelle Turner on the red carpet at Netflix’s launch event Tuesday. They talked about Adam. Was Sandler really considered for the role? which ultimately went to David Schwimmer.
Adam Sandler’s answer:
Before asking Sandler if he was really interested in playing Ross. Aniston replied, “Oh, that’s quite possible.”
No, Sandler said, adding that “I want!”
Sandler said, “No, that’s not true. I’m just kidding.”
“Talk to the shirtless man!” when asked about the prospect. Aniston talks about Sandler wearing casual clothes. “It depends on how everyone reacts to the film.”
“If they were having fun and having a good time, Netflix would say, ‘Yep!'” Aniston adds.
Murder Mystery 2, an all-new action-adventure comedy starring Sandler and Aniston, hits Netflix March 31.
