After news broke that Naomi Judd had named her widower as the executor of her estate, several reports emerged that her daughters, Winona Judd and Ashley Judd, had been “abandoned” by the will.
Subsequently, the Daily Mail also reported that Wynonna plans to make a decision. But sources close to the family told Page Six they were baffled by the claims.
A source explained that just because Larry Strickland, her husband of 33 years, was put in charge of $25 million, doesn’t mean nothing will be left for their girls.
“It is not known whether other provisions were made [in the will], You do not know all the arrangements,” the source said.
He also said that the daughters are close to Strickland, 76.
“He has been in his life since the late 70s – from a really young age. He is no stranger,” he said.
“It’s easy for people to say, ‘There must be trouble,'” the source said. ,[But] To those who have been around him, Larry always has been. They call him ‘Pops’. They all have farms nearby. ,
The source also added that both the women have their own fate.
Naomi died by suicide on April 30.
Undoubtedly, there has been discord among women.
Wynonna admitted as much while performing at the Brandi Carlyle concert last month. Wynonna joined him on stage and referred to the “tough season of sadness” as “it’s been two months since my mom.”
“I am the artist formerly known as ‘The Judds,'” she said, referring to the pair she formed with her mother. “My sister is here tonight, and we’re the new judge now, and she’s sitting off the stage.”
“I’m a judge, not a judge… Sorry, call someone up and say, ‘I’m sorry for my part. What can we do to heal?'” he told the crowd.
Wynonna then said, “That’s what we’re doing tonight.”
“We’re so separated because of schedules and whatever you want to say — family dysfunction, but we showed up tonight,” she said before singing and dedicating “Love Is Alive” to Ashley.
“We’re going to sing this song in honor of my sister because it’s been almost 12 years since she sang me, and it’s the beginning of a new chapter,” she said.
Our source told us that Wynonna was “really honest and open.” And while they haven’t spoken about the will yet, “if Ashley or Winona want to say something, they’ll do it,” he said.
