“Graham is a big role. And we see a lot of people on this. Diversity and casting is very important, but Graham, in order to be the privileged kid he is and for her (Mandy) to make assumptions about him that she had to He has to be white so she can say you’re a privileged man. So we bonded because we wanted to be as diverse as possible,” Julie explains. Manheim read the manuscript for Blake. And we were like, ‘Oh no, he’s Ben,’ and God He’s Ben. He’s a great Ben. So we looked for young men from every country, race, color, and creed for the role of Graham. because we think Maybe we can change it. Maybe he was a privileged kid from a different racial background or something.”
She continued, “But when we met Blake, He is charming and very cute… We didn’t know he was Australian. All through Zoom, we have no idea. Then maybe a second or third zoom with him where he speaks in his native accent. And I love him even more. he is very interesting He looks like a classic handsome 80s guy.
