Veteran actor and director Satish Kaushik has died at the age of 66. He was in New Delhi when he suffered a heart attack. News of his untimely death was shared by his close friend and veteran actor Anupam Kerr. He revealed that Satish was feeling uneasy at night and asked his driver to take him to the hospital. On the way, he had a heart attack. His sudden passing left everyone shocked and saddened, with fans, friends and colleagues mourning his loss. In an interview with the Times of India, filmmaker Karan Razdan said, ‘In his heart, Satish always wanted to make Tere Naam 2 with Salman Khan. But he has always admired Salman because he helped Satish a lot even during the making of Kaagaz.’ He further revealed that Satish is also planning a movie with Amitabh Bachchan. Movies with Amitabh Bachchan, at least that’s what’s in his head. He was planning a film with Neena Gupta which he later canceled due to the political climate. He told me that he was planning something big with Amitji. He’s been talking to me about Amitji’s movies for the past few months. But I can’t ask him how far his plan is going.’

meanwhile Satish Kaushik’s last ritual took place in Mumbai. Many celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty, Shehnaaz Gill, Arjun Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Javed Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, Pankaj Tripathi, Satish Shah, Ishaan Khatter and many more attended the funeral. Satish Kaushik attended Javed Akhtar’s Holi party in the city for the last time. He also shared happy photos from the party with Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal and other celebrities.
