Kelsey Ballerini and Chase Stokes continued to rekindle their new romance with a casual date night at the New York Rangers game in New York City on Thursday, March 2, 2023. In the photos, the beautiful blonde country star, 29, wore a black tailored coat and a high-collared black shirt, while laughing Foreign banks Star Chase. She styled her hair in super loose mermaid waves around her shoulders and accessorized with a pair of simple earrings. Chase rocked a yellow and black buffalo check jacket and a tan and yellow trucker hat for the fun evening, along with a few necklaces. In another photo, she looked at her new man while holding a drink, which Chase was later seen sipping from. They were also seen leaning in close for what looked like an intimate chat.
The photos come just days after Kelsey’s ex-husband, Morgan Evans released a documentary series on YouTube chronicling his career and divorce from the star. In the fifth episode of the series, he admitted that he “feels pretty good, all things considered.” However, he added that he still has a “long way to go. But I’m far from where I was three weeks ago.
Kelsey has been revealing various details about their “nasty” divorce, which she began in August 2022 and was finalized in November. However, it did not start badly, according to the singer herself. “It’s not chaotic, it’s not erratic, it’s just not working,” she said during an Oct. 3 appearance on CBS Mornings. “And that’s sometimes a hard narrative to understand when you’re like, ‘Oh my God, this is a good person and I’m a good person, and this just isn’t good anymore.’
Enter Chase, who she started talking to in December 2022 and confirmed she was dating in February 2023. When asked during an episode of Call her dad podcast, Kelsey tweeted, “No! I just vibrate.” She then added that “everything is really new to me. I tiptoe, but I enjoy it. It was a really beautiful awakening.”
