Kerry-Anne Kennerly and Sally Obermeider’s Breast Cancer Bond
Kerry-Anne Kennerly reveals the deep bond she shared with Sally Obermeader as she recalls how they helped each other defeat breast cancer a decade ago
TV stars Kerry-Anne Kennerly and Sally Obermeider have revealed their relationship while battling breast cancer.
Kerry-Anne told Sydney Morning Herald He first had a close relationship with Sally in 2013 when he checked into the Mater Hospital in north Sydney for treatment on Saturday.
At the time, Sally, now 48, also had surgery for breast cancer at the same hospital.

The stars soon became fast friends, Kerry-Anne recalled.
The Dancing With The Stars favorite revealed, ‘Something in me made me look for her.
Kerry-Anne, 68, said she knew about Sally’s struggles at the time.
Sally was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in 2011 at the age of 38 while undergoing routine screening while pregnant with her daughter, Annabelle.

Kerry-Anne said, ‘I had followed her story before I found out. ‘And I thought she was incredibly inspirational.’
After Kerry-Anne asked Sally to ‘say hi’ while still in the hospital, the stars bonded over their shared battle with the disease.
The friends recently reunited at a launch party for Mercedes-Benz in Sydney this week,


Of Sally, Kerry-Anne said, ‘I followed her story before I knew it.
In 2015, during an appearance on Seven’s The Daily Edition, Kerry-Anne recalled her first meeting with Sally.
‘You were the one who gave me strength,’ he told her during the live interview.
“Nobody really knows, the day I went into surgery, I heard all about you, but never really met you,” she continued.
Kerry-Anne continued: ‘I knew you were in for surgery the same day, in the same hospital, can you believe it?
‘I walked into your room, you gave me the most extraordinary support and what you were doing was very bad.’
Sally was declared cancer-free in 2012 after undergoing chemotherapy, two mastectomies and reconstructive surgery.
