“Scream” writer Kevin Williamson says the “door is wide open” for Neve Campbell to return to the horror franchise.
“There’s always room for her to come back to,” the 57-year-old screenwriter told Page Six at the premiere of “Scream VI” in New York on Monday night. “You know, the door is wide open. And if you want to come back and play with us again We came here (Neve) as my friend. We keep in touch all the time.”
Last year, Campbell, 49, revealed that she had made “Very tough decision” to turn down the offer for the sixth film in the Slasher franchise.
“Sadly, I’m not doing the next ‘Scream’ movie,” she said in a statement to Page Six last June.
“As a woman I have to work hard in my career to build my own value. Especially when it comes to ‘Scream’.”

Williamson isn’t the only “Scream” guy who would want to see Campbell back.
