Kim Woodburn insists ‘liars’ Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield quit This Morning

Kim Woodburn launched a scathing attack on Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield on Thursday morning, accusing them of ‘lying’ about not skipping the queue to see the Queen as she lays on the holiday.

The Celebrity Big Brother star, 80, called for the pair to be sacked from their This Morning presenting duties – while claiming they ‘have heads the size of [military base] Fort Knox’.

Holly and Philip were accused of skipping the queue at Westminster Hall in London last week as tens of thousands of mourners waited patiently for 12 hours to pay their respects to Her Majesty – but insisted their visit was “strictly for reporting”.

Appearing on the GB News panel with host Jenny Barnett and Francine Lewis, Kim certainly didn’t hold back as she discussed the ponytail drama.

The angry broadcaster explained: “There were a lot of people in that queue, people in wheelchairs and canes. And Holly and Phillip think that since they’re on TV, they can ignore the rules.

“If Holly felt that strongly, she should have done it [waited] and they took off all these fake things they were wearing, pretending they were in the press. They lied.

But jumping to their defense, Jenni accused Kim of character assassination, adding: “Why do you think they would be so stupid to do what you think they did?”

Kim, fueled by rage, fires back: “They’ve got heads the size of Fort Knox! Having been coddled for years on TV, they can do no wrong.

“People are kissing each other’s asses, they need to go. Since they have been on vacation, other presenters are doing better, they are more cheerful.

“Holly and Phil have made enough money, seen enough, people don’t like them – go! They are a terrible pair of people. Get good people like Alison [Hammond]. She’s damn good at her job.

The How Clean Your House star also accused the famous hosting duo of being rude to her following her time on Celebrity Big Brother – calling them “unfriendly”.

Sources claimed this week that a ‘distraught’ Holly will not be leaving This Morning over a ‘queue-jumping row’ – as she and Philip deal with the escalating public backlash over the queue debacle – but revealed insiders are ‘still they fear what the future holds’ for the ITV star.

The ‘devastated’ presenters – who are said to be paid up to £600,000 to host the popular Monday to Thursday daytime show – faced growing anger after images emerged on Friday of them appearing to ‘jump the queue “, while tens of thousands of mourners waited patiently for 12 hours.

Holly was reportedly in tears as she and Phil pleaded with This Morning bosses to protect them from the ensuing storm – and were furious that ITV sat idly by before issuing a brief statement in defense of the couple on Saturday.

The two wanted to issue a public apology ‘queue-gate’ but were convinced after receiving legal advice, a source told MailOnline.

“Initially Holly and Philip were prepared to apologize if they had upset anyone as they were both just desperate to draw the line under the affair. But they were strongly advised not to go down the path of excuses.

But Kim isn’t the only one to speak out against Holly and Phil – as Eamon Holmes also hit out at his former co-hosts during Wednesday’s UK news.

Speaking to GB News Breakfast, Eamonn, 62, made no secret of the fact that he doesn’t trust his former colleagues and said they had “messed things up”.

Speaking to presenter Claire Muldoon, Eamon said: “I’ll tell you what is strategic. Why is Holly fighting to keep her job according to The Sun, but not Mr Phillip?

Clare replied: “Who knows? Twitter last night said she did not want to leave her job on This Morning.

“Who wouldn’t want to give up £600,000 a year and everything else that comes with it? I think the brand is very damaged. There needs to be a change from the top down to the bottom of This Morning.’

Eamonn then read Holly and Philip’s statement saying: “We didn’t jump the queue, we worked” as he asked “Why wasn’t your boss working with you?”

‘Sacked’: Eamon also expressed his feelings on Twitter, responding with a praying hands emoji to a user who wrote: “They [Holly and Phillip] he should be fired, eamon and ruth are far better than these idiots

Referring to a picture of Holly wearing a mask in Westminster Hall, Clare asked: ‘Why was she wearing a mask? Is she allergic to audiences?’

Eamonn replied, “No, she does that. “Holly is in tears,” but Holly is always in tears. But wearing a mask – I think it’s quite cowardly, bacteriophobia.

Co-presenter Isabelle Webster said fast-tracking Holly and Philip was no different to what other broadcasters did while covering the Queen’s lie-in.

But a still unimpressed Eamon replied: “They say they didn’t get a fast track. a lie. They say they did not honor the body. a lie. What else were they there for? Let’s just tell the truth about the whole thing.

“They got it wrong and instead of being arrogant and saying, ‘We were there working as journalists,’ why don’t they just say, ‘Yeah, we thought it was a good idea.’

Meanwhile, the former This Morning host also expressed his feelings on Twitter, responding with a praying hands emoji to a user who wrote: “They [Holly and Phillip] he should be fired, Eamonn and Ruth are far better than these idiots.

Members of the public have even started a petition calling for Holly and Phil to be sacked from ITV, which has already reached 50,000 signatures.
