“Summer House” star Kyle Cooke says wife Amanda Batula’s fertility struggles are “more complicated” than fans realize.
“Obviously there was more to it than making it into (the show),” Cooke, 40, revealed on an upcoming episode of Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast. “It broke my heart.”
He further explained that “She gets a lot out of the trolls about her weight. and people are like, ‘You’re not having your period because you’ve lost a lot of weight.’”
Batula, 31, shared her health concerns with the girls of “Summer House” during the tea party that aired on the March 6 episode.
The revelation came after newcomer Samantha Feher expressed her assumption that Batulana would be the first to welcome the group. since she is the only woman who is married
Batula admitted that she and Kyle, who wed in September 2021, “want to have kids.” “Right now it’s not in the cards.”
The graphic designer goes on to say that she has “Last period” in November 2021 after stopping birth control several months ago.
In addition to having stopped menstrual cycles, Batula has lost an alarming amount of weight. Which, according to Cooke, comes with a new drug to help treat unexpected breakouts.
“I’ll set the record straight. Yes, not taking birth control makes you lose weight. It also makes your hormones out of control as they did when you were a teenager. She has always had good skin,” he explained.
“She acted like she was in high school until we went to shoot ‘Winter House’ (season 2).”

Cooke continues, “She takes … a drug whose by-product is skin lightening. One of the side effects was that it caused her to lose weight. I don’t think it’s a common side effect. But it’s like a double weight loss that you can’t control.”
Loverboy’s CEO applauds model-turned-nurse Ciara Miller for encouraging Batula to see a doctor during filming.
“I am so thankful for a friend like Ciara who helped her understand what was going on,” he said.
“It was hard because she went through a diet. She’s dealing with acne and oh well, what’s going on with her menstrual cycle and her fertility,” Cooke explains, “so I don’t want to spoil anything. But I’m glad the girls started (conversations) at brunch.”
Cooke’s conversation with “Virtual Reali-Tea” came a week after the season 1 reunion of “The Traitors” aired. He participated in the Peacock vs. reality TV vet competition series. Others included Brandi Glanville, Kate Chastain and Arie Luyendyk Jr. among others.
Now, Cooke’s “Summer House” co-star Lindsey Hubbard is looking for a spot on the show. which she revealed at the “Virtual Reali-Tea Live!” show at the City Winery in New York City on Feb. 10.
“She never told me once about her desire to do it,” he tells us of Hubbard, 36, who is engaged to his longtime friend Karl Rudke.
“Look, I think you’re incredible. I mean, she’s really good at spinning. She takes care of herself very well.
“She’s a powerful person. She can activate And when you break up… She can get rid of you when she doesn’t need you (needs you), I think that’s the trait of a traitor.”
Cooke admitted that he and the former publicist had He has a “pretty complicated relationship” at the moment, but reiterates that he will “definitely support” her in “The Traitors”.
“I think she would do really well,” he said.
