Kyle Sandilands slammed My Kitchen Rules judge Manu Fieldel on his radio show Friday after the pair had a tense chat on-air.

French chef Manu, 48, awkwardly said goodbye to 51-year-old Kyle after being asked about his new co-host Nigella Lawson and why she didn’t want to do an interview with him.

After Kyle’s co-host Jackie O mentioned how uncomfortable the interview was, Kyle reprimanded the culinary star, saying: ‘Who gives the one who is sick and tired of talking about it? !’

Kyle then said about Manu that ‘no topic was off limits’ on his KIIS FM show.

‘I’m not here to facilitate other people’s s**t. i like manu, he can come and i like the show [MKR]But I’m so surprised about Nigella [Lawson] thing.’

‘The ending was so weird, I wasn’t sure what was going on there guys? But whatever,’ said Jackie O.

‘what do you mean? I think he felt embarrassed that his co-host (Nigella) let him down,’ Kyle shot back.

‘Or he’s sick of talking about it,’ said Jackie.

During the chat, Kyle didn’t stop to investigate Manu as to why the British TV chef Nigella wasn’t there.

‘What’s the problem with her, apparently I heard, correct me if I’m the wrong producer, the network is upset because Nigella’s team said “Absolutely no, you’re not going to be on that dirty show.” Our show, how is it?’ Kyle asked.

‘I don’t know, this is news to me friend! I’ll make sure he talks to you next time,’ Manu said with a laugh.

‘How am I ready to support you, when a woman other than you thinks of me… you just walked out of her and made a false promise. I think she’s amazing, she’s the queen, but when you find out that someone doesn’t like you, you can’t help but like someone back,’ Kyle said.

‘I think you’re getting upset for no reason, Kyle,’ said Manu eagerly to deflect from the subject.

Jackie tells Kyle to ‘get over it’.

Kyle said he thought Nigella was a ‘sweetie’ but is not a fan of his management team.

‘Can you sort out his team…’ Kyle asked Manu at the end of the chat, which was greeted with awkward silence.

Nigella is joining Manu on this year’s My Kitchen Rules reboot, replacing disgraced chef Pete Evans.

According to The Australian, Nigella will only appear in half an episode of the show.

The publication reported that Nigella, 62, “will only appear in the first round of the show alongside Manu Fieldel.”

He will then be replaced by Chef Matt Preston for the second round, before Colin Fasniz and Curtis Stone advance to the finals of the show.

Nigella’s low attendance comes despite her ‘prestigiously heavy duty’ publication report.

Global home-cooking sensation Nigella is replacing the disgraced Pete Evans, who was fired from the Seven Network in 2020 amid the show’s declining ratings in its eleventh year of production.

Nigella has previously spoken about her enthusiasm about starring in the series.

“When you think of your favorite food, it’s almost always about cooking at home,” she said.

‘I’m a home cook and this is the food I want to eat. I have traveled 17,000 km to find the best home cooks in Australia.’

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Nigella’s management team for comment regarding this story.

My Kitchen Rules returns on Sundays at 7 p.m.
