From the bottom of his broken heart.
“Love Island USA” star Tyler Radz never expected that Serenity Springs would be snatched from him—or that their breakup, subject to newcomer Bria Bryant, would result in her early exit from the Peacock reality show.
“She was probably the person I was closest to there. And it broke my heart,” Radz told Page Six in an exclusive interview, reflecting on Springs’ emotional reaction to their split.
Bombshell Bria – who entered the villa with brother Chaz Bryant – was tasked with reuniting her siblings with a girl while she picked a boy for her. Springs ends with Chase, a shakeup that “blinds” Radz, he reveals, and leaves his love interest in tears.
“I felt really bad. But then on the other hand, I don’t want her to be so sad about me because I still want her to have the best experience and find what she wants,” says her sudden separation from Redz Springs. says about.
“But it was definitely terrifying to see her cry like this and I wish I was still there. I wish I could have another conversation with him when I was leaving.”
The decisive reenactment ceremony left both Redz and Zeta Morrison single. Afterwards, Villa had to choose a weaker one to save her – and ultimately voted unanimously to keep OG Islander Morrison around.
“I have no ill-will towards him or anything. I totally understand voting for Zeta. He has been there since day one. I was saying to Zeta, like, ‘I hope they save you. We call you Mama Jade for a reason, you’re such a sweet girl,'” he recalls, and insists he is at peace with the cast’s decision.
“I was just trying to be mentally prepared to leave.”
Before the episode, Radz opts to pair up with Springs—the first islander to be dumped from Villa, even after a one-on-one romantic date with Val Braggs.
“When I spoke to Serenity… my mouth and my face started to hurt with the smile and laughter. I was just thinking in the back of my head, like, ‘This is awesome,'” he springs up with. Tell us about the chemistry you felt during your beach picnic.
“At the end of the day, they’re both gorgeous girls. Serenity just had that kind of unique personality where I was blown away by her.”
Although Radz hopes to win $100,000 at the end of the spring season—either with Chase or another guy—he’s also optimistic they’ll rekindle their relationship in any capacity once they leave Villa.
The Ohio native, who is known to audiences as “Tarzan Tyler” for his luscious locks and chiseled physique, says he and Springs plan to meet again one day in his native New Orleans.
“We think we’ll be in each other’s lives either way. And when I left, I told her I’d see her in Louisiana,” he notes.
“Obviously, I hope she wins it all. It will be awesome for her. But whether it’s friendship or whatever, I’m definitely looking forward to talking to her when she leaves the villa.”
“Love Island USA” – Hosted by Sarah Hyland – is available to stream on Peacock. New episodes come Tuesday through Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.
