Alex (Moloni) and I met when we were 12, and then filming had to be postponed a year because of the pandemic. So watching each other grow from children to teenagers is weird. Alex’s voice dropped. I’m three inches taller And we are no longer the kind of kids we were three years ago!”
When asked if she had any doubts about taking the leading role in the film, Ever said “The only suspicion I had was because I had grown three inches from being cast until the first day of shooting. I grew up fast before filming (so) I was worried that Disney might think I was too old to play Wendy (but) luckily they didn’t care about that at all. I’m so excited to play my childhood hero. I’ve loved Wendy Darling since I was a kid. So getting the chance to play as Wendy was a dream come true. We had two months of intensive training between the fencing lessons and all the wire training to fly. It was very exciting for me and easy to invest in all of myself.”
