Mindy Kaling had fun showing off her sexy new swimsuit on Saturday after embarking on her weight loss journey two years ago after the birth of her second child.

The Mindy Project star, 43, showed off her toned legs and arms in a blue print bathing suit as she stood on a patio with a series of new Instagram photos.

‘The least romantic gift my friends @traceywigfield and @loulielang gave me was this sexy blue one piece bathing suit I was so excited to model. You know you have good friends when they excite you to buy intimate apparel!’ The funny lady captioned her post.

The mother of two, Katherine, 4, and Spencer, 23 months, slimmed down by eating smaller portion sizes and making sure she moved her body every day.

The actress who likes to share recipes with her fans told today: ‘I’ll never stop being a foodie. I will never be someone who can just eat spinach and salmon every day,’ the actor explained. ‘I’m actually trying sobriety for the first time in my life, and I love it.’

She also makes sure that the exercise suits her busy schedule. ‘Sometimes I’m like, “Well, I have four different times today where I have 10 minutes, so let’s go check Instagram instead of sitting down.”

‘So instead of making it like a part of exercise at the start of the day or not at all, now I’m just deciding that I’m going to be a more active person all the time.’

Outspoken in the past about her struggles to lose weight, Kaling talks about a healthier approach to succeeding in finally getting fit.

She does not restrict herself from eating all the foods she likes. She just eats less of it.

This approach is working for the star who is revered as a role model for other women. Her healthy and realistic efforts have brought a dramatic change in her body and should prove to be a long lasting result.

The Office cast member commented that she has moved on from her old ideas and started focusing on how she can maintain a level of health through fitness.

Kaling said: ‘I’ve tried to let go of this idea of ‚Äč‚Äčlosing weight for reasons of vanity and to really think about how I can be healthy.’
