Earlier this year, 24-year-old Paris opened up about her childhood after being announced as the new face of KVD Beauty.
Discussing her up-bringing in the entertainment world, she revealed that it gave her a complicated relationship with beauty: “It wasn’t until the last few years that I felt really good about myself and my body. Was on.”
“Those moments of self-love aren’t 24/7, but bad moments are few and far between.”
She said that her father Michael’s philosophy helped her keep an open mind as she began her career as a model.
“I was raised by a free-loving, hippie-type friend, so we were taught that beauty comes from inside — and to this day, I still believe in that.”
While Paris is known for her love of piercings and tattoos, many of which have no particular meaning, she has begun to appreciate the power of makeup years later in the fashion industry.
“All my experiences over the years have led me to that point,” she said.
“I appreciate the artistry behind it.”
