Duo releases first song
Phish’s Page McConnell and Trey Anastasio will release their new album. JanuaryAs of Friday, March 10, via JEMP Records, the album will be available digitally only, and the first track, “Dancing In Midair,” is currently streaming. January It contains eight new manuscripts written by Anastasio and McConnell and is a sequel. DecemberTheir album is an acoustic reinterpretation of Phish.
January It was recorded and produced in January 2023 by Bryce Goggin at Trout Studios in Brooklyn, New York and features McConnell on keyboards and vocals and Anastasio on guitar, drums, bass and vocals.
“We just walked into the studio with an acoustic guitar and a few synthesizers,” Anastasio said in an interview with SiriusXM’s Phish Radio. They sound different. It’s a limitation in a good way.”
