When Mel Brooks world history part 1 Released more than 40 years ago, it was essentially an elaborate sketch comedy show in a movie format. And that’s the same spirit that comedians Ike Barinholtz, Nick Kroll and Wanda Sykes have brought to the long-awaited. World history part 2Streaming on Hulu this week.
“When we think about acting We’re just going back to our North Star movie, structured, oriented, where you have a couple of longer sequences. And then there’s the hit scene in a row, and a few things in between, Barinholtz told this week’s The Last Laugh podcast, “and we feel like we can emulate that in the series. We have a few stories that are bigger in the extent that you have to follow up with multiple sketches and then you finish them quickly and keep on energizing.”
One of “Once” is an Ancestry.com commercial parody, which you can see in the exclusive clip below.
Along with Barinholtz and Sykes, comedians Margaret Cho, Kulap Vilaysack and Bobby Lee wonder why they are the way they are. The Daily Show’Kublai Khan’s Ronny Chieng offers the answer: “I had sex with the ancestors of all these people.”

As Barinholtz’s character explains, “I’ve been unfaithful to my wife for years and never knew why. It’s truly in my DNA to spread my seed as far and wide as possible.”
“You know, I’m related to Kublai as well, and I’m not involved with babysitters!” Syke replied.
