Samantha is gearing up for the release of her mythological fantasy romance film Shakuntalam, which is one of the biggest films of her career so far. The film which will release in 2 days is entering its final leg of promotions and Samantha takes out some time in between her busy promotional tour to spend time with her beloved pets at home. Samantha recently posted a video on Twitter which is going viral for all the right reasons. She seems busy mediating small fights between her pet dogs before leaving for press junket interviews for the film.
Shakuntalam is all set to release in 2 days
Shakuntalam is an epic romance, a new iteration of the mythological romance where Samantha will share the screen with an ensemble cast including Dev Mohan, Sachin Khedekar and Aditi Balan. The film is directed by Gunasekar and jointly bankrolled by Guna Teamworks and Sri Venkateswara Creations. Shakuntalam is supposed to be a musical romance, being remade on a scale never seen before for Indian cinema, based on the original text of Kalidasa’s classic play titled “Shakuntala”, written in the 1940s. There have been several attempts before to adapt the material for the big screen but this iteration is definitely the biggest ever produced. The cinematography is being handled by Shekhar V. Joseph and the music is being given by the great Mani Sharma.

The Twitter video shared by Samantha seems to be her favorite time pass and is getting a lot of love from her fans and followers on social media. Samantha will next be seen in Kushi opposite Vijay Deverakonda. The romantic comedy is currently in production and is being directed by Shiva Nirvana. The film is expected to be an old school romance with music by Hesham Abdul Wahab and cinematography handled by Murali Ji. There will be more updates from the team in the coming days.
