Sarah Ferguson reveals she has ‘very serious mental issues’

Sarah Ferguson has admitted she has “a lot of mental issues” that she has kept secret over the years.

“I have always been able to hide (them) very well. People are pleased, with generosity. giving gifts Something like that,” the 63-year-old Duchess of York said during an onstage interview at The 92nd Street Y in New York on Monday night.

She then shared further insights into why she felt compelled to buy gifts for other people in her past life.

“(It is) ‘They can’t love me,’” she confesses. So I had to overcompensate. And it’s something I talk about honestly.”

Ferguson was at the event to promote her latest novel, “A Most Intriguing Lady.” She also has acting aspirations.

“I want to do a Hallmark movie,” she joked. “I want to be the one who left New York to Vermont or somewhere. Then the car broke down in the middle of the road. Then a handsome man came to help me.”

However, the author of “Her Heart for a Compass” deflected when asked about Prince Andrew. her ex-husband who was forced out of the royal family due to his questionable friendship with the sexually deceased Jeffrey Epstein.

“The thing is, the girls and I are called ‘three legs’ but it is very sad to see the cruelty given to other people,” she explained.

“And I feel strongly that the most important thing is to keep Beatrice and Eugenie and the trivet who are their mothers. The best way we can (which will) win is success. And my goodness, the boys are amazing.”

Ferguson was cautious when asked about Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, who have been outspoken about the royal family.

“(Princess) Diana and I We played a lot and had a great time. And I feel very strong – and so will the King – (that she will) be proud of her grandchildren and family.”

“And I believe in family unity. I think forgiveness is the key,” she added. Perhaps a reference to the current strained relationship between Prince Harry and King Charles III.
